Allow the autoclave to reach and maintain a temperature of 121° C (249.8° F) for at least 30 minutes by using saturated steam under at least 15 psi of pressure. Increased cycle time may be necessary depending upon the make-up and volume of the load.

Once the sterilization cycle for the autoclave unit is completed (  after it beeps ) and while the chamber is still under pressure, the user needs open the control valve to return the water inside the chamber back to the water reservoir.

This should be done within few minutes of cycle completion and if you wait too long where the inside chamber pressure goes  down to zero, then the remaining water inside the chamber will spill out when the door is opened as the water cannot be returned back to the reservoir

it is recommended that the implements are to be removed from the chamber as soon as possible and should not be left inside  too long as the residual steam and moisture inside chamber may cause rust spots on the tools and implements especially if the stainless steel material quality is not very good.
